Lets face it; todays radio equipment is getting simpler and cheaper by the day. The days of pulling out a radio on the bench, taking the covers off and fixing to component level are all but over. Where radio was once seen as a "black art", now it is intuitive, modular and in most cases for smaller organisations, more likely to be maintained by a mechanic than a radio tech. Our approach to support is to assist our clients to assist themselves. Our technical support is centered around remote assistance to onsite electrical and mechanical maintenance staff (or anyone with "the knack"!), through online helpdesk, telephone and online knowledge base support. We empower our clients with the ability to carry out basic first line maintenance themselves rather than trying to corner them into paying a technician to travel to site every other week. Of course, where needed, our staff are willing and able to travel and we support clients all over Australia as well as overseas. For online support, including our knowledge base, we have provided our regular clients with a technical support portal for reporting faults, asking for advice and providing access to tips and advice on all kinds of communications related tasks.
