Our project management skills are aligned to the communications, electrical and defence industries. We use PMBOK as a management philosophy but we are just as capable of working within our client's management systems and philosophies.

Our approach to project management is to work as a single team with all stakeholders, including the end client, to gain a successful outcome for all.

The Milpeak team has considerable experience in managing turnkey communications projects, including feasibility investigations, determining site-access requirements, civil works, electrical works, installation and commissioning. We also keep up to date with relevant OH&S and environmental issues relating to communications infrastructure projects.

Lets face it; todays radio equipment is getting simpler and cheaper by the day. The days of pulling out a radio on the bench, taking the covers off and fixing to component level are all but over. Where radio was once seen as a "black art", now it is intuitive, modular and in most cases for smaller organisations, more likely to be maintained by a mechanic than a radio tech.  

Our approach to support is to assist our clients to assist themselves. Our technical support is centered around remote assistance to onsite electrical and mechanical maintenance staff (or anyone with "the knack"!), through online helpdesk, telephone and online knowledge base support. We empower our clients with the ability to carry out basic first line maintenance themselves rather than trying to corner them into paying a technician to travel to site every other week.

Of course, where needed, our staff are willing and able to travel and we support clients all over Australia as well as overseas.  

For online support, including our knowledge base, we have provided our regular clients with a technical support portal for reporting faults, asking for advice and providing access to tips and advice on all kinds of communications related tasks.

We have personnel who are experienced in all facets of site management including safety and environment issues, and the supervision of civil crews, riggers, installation technicians and electricians.

Backed up by our expertise in project management, we are able to provide prime contractors with the quality of reporting required to deliver large infrastructure projects where the communications components are often on the critical path, despite their relatively small monetary share of the overall project.
