Milpeak is a dealer for satellite products from the Thuraya, Iridium and Inmarsat ranges. We work in conjunction with Satcom Global and Indigo Telecoms to provide airtime on various satellite networks. We also maintain a channel partnership with Australian Satellite Services to provide communications infrastructure for VSAT systems.

Thuraya SG-2520 satellite handset

The SG-2520 is a dual-mode satellite and GSM handset. Meaning that you can use it like a regular mobile phone while in coverage range, and then switch to the satellite system once you are out of range. Its satellite network covers most of the world, only leaving out the poles and North/South America. This mobile would be ideal for someone who wants to be able to use the cheaper rates of a standard terrestrial mobile network, while still having the option of a satellite connection. Its satellite network is very stable, with almost 100% uptime and very infrequent interuptions.
