The Wireless Pacific GTR Portable radio is our latest addition to our analogue mobile radio product suite. It is type approved for Australia and we think it is an excellent value for money transceiver (priced at $375 inc GST). We also stock a comprehensive range of accessories and we can supply the transceivers programmed for Commercial, CB or Amateur Radio (2m or 70cm) use.
256 Channel Capability
The GTR portable hand-held radio is capable of operating on up to 256 channels all with alpha naming. The highly popular XU1 450-520MHz model comes pre-programmed with 40 licence free* UHF CB simplex and repeater channels, and also with 16 on-site “private” channels that stop annoying traffic from others who may be on the same UHF CB frequency. If you already have, or would like your own private frequency, just speak to us about arranging personalised radio programming. Our Bluetooth allows you to not only use most low cost “garden variety” Bluetooth audio accessories but also the most sophisticated, high technology Peltor advanced industrial headsets and similar. Military StandardThe GTR is rated to meet IP-54 environmental conditions as well as Mil Std 810C/D/E & F. Naturally, it features a rock-solid, aluminium die-cast chassis with an ultra-rugged, high impact, polymer blend housing making it the perfect choice for the most extreme weather conditions. Channel ScanThe GTR features four types of channel scan including follow me, dual watch, priority and regular scan. Lone WorkerWorkplace safety is everyone’s responsibility and GTR’s Lone Worker feature ensures your radio dispatcher is alerted should your staff fail to stay in touch within a pre-programmed time interval. Unit IdentificationGTR provides smart Unit ID identification using 5 tone or DTMF signalling Selective CallSelectively call one person, a sub-group or everyone in your team. The choice is yours with GTR’s highly flexible 5 tone selective call system. All international tones and durations are supported. Safety ToneThis unique safety feature helps while moving large or dangerous equipment, such as trains, cranes, prime movers and other potentially dangerous hazards. Should the user release the Safety button for any reason, the dual safety tones will disappear so the driver knows to stop immediately. Note: software features require pre-configuration by your radio dealer. Kill /ReviveShould a radio be lost or stolen, the dispatcher can remotely “kill” the radio making it inoperable, thereby preventing unauthorised use of the radio by others.
